Battery Changeover Not Activating

Battery Changeover Not Activating

We offer two types of battery backup (changeover) setups:

  1. Essential Socket Backup – A dedicated socket powered by the battery during a power cut.
  2. Full Changeover – Selected circuits in your home are powered during an outage.

If you’re unable to activate your changeover switch, it’s usually a simple step that’s been missed.

How To Activate Your Changeover

In the event of a power cut:

  1. Go to your main fuse board / consumer unit (MCB board).
  2. Locate the changeover switch.
  3. Move the switch to the “ON” position.

Once switched on, your backup supply should become active (depending on your system type).

Important Notes

  • The mains supply must be off before changeover is engaged.
  • Only the circuits included in your backup setup will be powered.
  • If you have the essential socket option, only that socket will work during the outage.

Still Not Working?

If the changeover won’t activate or you’re unsure which switch to use, don’t force anything.
